Legal DNA Paternity testing can be used to settle a range of family related legal matters, for example in child custody cases, inheritance disputes and immigration applications. For a legal paternity test to have validity it must be performed by a NATA and ISO17025 accredited laboratory.
At easyDNA all legal DNA testing is performed by a NATA and ISO17025 accredited DNA testing laboratory for your assurance and peace of mind. Apart from legal paternity testing, we also offer a range of legal DNA tests for those who require verified results that can be used in a court of law or other legal requirements.
easyDNA Offers Two Types of Legal DNA Testing: SPECIAL REDUCED PRICES
-
Our first option is our NATA accredited legal DNA test which is essential when under age children are involved in parentage testing. The NATA accredited legal test can be used for purposes such as family law court disputes, child maintenance issues, changing a child's birth certificate and also for immigration purposes involving under age children. The majority of government departments in Australia require a DNA paternity test to be NATA accredited for it to be acceptable. Therefore, if you need your DNA test result submitted to a governmental department, then this would be the most suitable legal test at a very Special Price of $595.00
-
The second option is a verified legal DNA test where the sample collection process is slightly easier but adults participating in the test must still have their samples collected by an independent third party such as a Doctor or a Nurse (also referred to as Chain-of-custody collection process). This test can be used when people want reassurance that samples being submitted are indeed from the correct people. During the sample collection process identification must be presented and passport photos will also be submitted and this is all documented at sampling.
A copy of the test results will initially be sent by email in 7 working days. A hard copy (original) of all the documentation will follow around 10 days later and this will be signed and documented by a notary.
Verified Legal DNA Test
Use our simple, step-by-step instructions on how to conduct a verified legal DNA test:
Step One : Ordering your verified Legal DNA Test
-
Firstly, you must place your order and process payment using our simple-to-use Order page. The cost of our Legal DNA paternity test is $495.00 (price excluding any fees charged by the sampler). Once your order has been confirmed a Legal DNA Kit will be specifically assigned to your case and dispatched to you within 2 working days. Our Legal DNA Kit contains everything you will need for the test, including submission forms, sampling instructions and the sampling kits.
Step Two : Booking an appointment with a Sampler
-
A legal DNA test requires that a neutral third party, usually a medical professional like a doctor or a nurse, collect your DNA samples. They are known as Samplers and are responsible for verifying the identity of the parties being tested and their subsequent samples. You are responsible for making this appointment and paying any related fees.
Step Three : Preparing all necessary Paperwork
Here is a list of what you will need to take to your Sampler’s appointment:
-
Each person being tested must provide two passport size photos showing your full face and wearing no hat.
-
Each person being tested must also provide an original ID document that can be checked to confirm identity when sampling (photocopying the ID and signing the back of it with your name, signature and date to enclose with your samples is also recommended) Examples of accepted ID documents: Passport, Full Drivers License, National Identity Card with photo, Armed Forces ID card, Pass card issued by a Government Department or other photo ID.
-
Certified copy of birth certificate for children tested.
-
Sampling kit and submission forms as provided by easyDNA in your Legal DNA Kit.
Step Four : Identification and DNA Sample Collection
-
At your appointment, your Sampler will collect DNA samples from all participants on oral swabs, which will be carefully dried and placed in the collection envelopes. He/She will seal and label each sample, ensuring that at no time during the process are the participants to come into contact with them, and send them directly back to our offices in the self addressed envelope provided in the testing kit.
The Sampler will endorse the passport-sized photos you have provided in the following way:
1) “I [Samplers Name] certify that this is a true likeness of ... [person’s name]” 2) Samplers Signature 3) Date
A copy of the test results will initially be sent by email in 5-7 working days. A hard copy (original) of all the documentation will follow around 10 days later and this will be signed and documented by a notary.
